Elena Potanina, co-founder, President and CEO
Elena has more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and a track record of developing successful ICs for consumer, industrial and automotive electronics. She is responsible for general management, strategic planning and business development, and expanding and motivating our professional team. Prior to founding VivEng she was with National Semiconductor, where she developed signal path, data conversion, and power management products, and where she drove multiple projects to mass production resulting in substantial revenue streams for the company. Over her career Elena worked for Zilog, Suni Imaging Microsystems, Angstrem, and Elcor. Elena is a named inventor on 18 U.S. patents and holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Moscow Institute of Electronics and Technology.

George Y. McLean, CTO
George brings technical insight and leadership based on 20 years of experience in semiconductor physics and process technology, imaging sensors, and medical device development. Before joining VivEng, George served as Director of R&D at Tronics MedTech, where he led proof-of-concept efforts for a variety of medical devices, including a micro-fluidic Class III implantable device and a Class II wearable sensor system. Prior to joining Tronics George served as Director of Research at Optobionics, where he developed retinal implants and managed animal research collaborations and patient databases for two clinical trials. Before joining Optobionics, he designed CMOS and CCD imaging sensors at Suni Imaging Microsystems (now Suni Medical Imaging.) George is a named inventor on two U.S. patents. He holds a B.S. in physics and electrical engineering from MIT and an M.A. in physics from UC Berkeley.
